Dr Shahid is presently posted as Assistant Professor in the Department of Dentistry, Government Medical College, Kathua Jammu. He also worked as Senior Resident in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and as Junior Resident in the Department of Periodontology, Government Dental College and Hospital Srinagar. He has clinical work experience of more than 10 years and is on call Consultant Surgeon to various other clinics and hospital setups across the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
